2005-2006 Season Summary
 

The following concerts were delivered in the 2005 through 2005 season.

Evening of Enchantment - Sept. 24, 8:00pm
Pip Clarke, violinist
Pip Clarke’s hauntingly lyrical violin lends an aura of enchantment to Beethoven’s music as she joins MCO in its return to the stage of Le Petit Trianon for the orchestra’s tenth magical season.

Mozart and the Classics - Nov. 5, 8:00pm
Hélène Wickett, pianist
Two months before Mozart’s 250th birthday, MCO pays homage to the classical style and genius of Mozart.  Highly acclaimed pianist Hélène Wickett is featured in Mozart’s Piano Concerto no. 9.

Night Moods - Feb. 4, 8:00pm
Daniel Glover, pianist
From the tranquility of a moonlit field to the merriment of smoke-filled taverns, night has always been a magical time. MCO brings the moods of night to the concert hall, with featured soloist Daniel Glover displaying his mastery in Saint-Saens’ Piano Concerto no. 2.

Heroes - Apr. 22, 8:00pm

“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than
oneself.”  Joseph Campbell
Honoring the heroes of yesterday and today, MCO presents a very special concert featuring the music of Beethoven and Bloomer Deussen, plus the world premiere of Lee Actor’s Violin Concerto, performed by the unforgettable virtuoso, Pip Clarke.
